Dear Music Educator,

It is my privilege to announce the third annual Junior High/Middle School State Concert Band Festival sponsored by the UMEA. This Festival is the premiere festival of the State for middle level ensembles and will offer extraordinary feedback for these young musicians. Last years festival was highly educational for all involved. This year's festival again includes clinics from top Music Educators from across the United States, including Mr. Richard Crane Vice President of the Chicago Mid-West Clinic and retired Music Supervisor for the Spring ISD in the Woodlands, Texas. In addition, Mrs. Barbara Lambrecht from El Paso Texas will also join us and is a well know music educator and advocate for the Wind Band. Their expertise and knowledge will be a great addition to this year's festival. The Festival will be held Friday April 16, 2010. I sincerely hope that you will send an audition recording for your ensemble this year. Audition recordings must be post marked by January 10, 2010. I look forward to hearing your ensemble at the second annual Junior High/Middle School State Concert Band Festival this year.
